Lana and Robin at Marcliffe Hall, Aberdeen

This July we photographed the lovely wedding of the Lana and Rob in Aberdeen. We hadn't been to Marcliffe Hall before - it was great to go to a new venue, and especially to do so in the calm, happy and relaxed company of Lana and Rob. One of the things about being a photographer in Scotland, is that one is never sure what the weather might be - and sure enough, on the wedding day we had some traditional Scottish summer weather - it poured! We had been hoping to go into the pretty gardens to take some portraits after the ceremony, but as always here it's essential to have a back up plan in a  sheltered spot just in case. It looked like we might have to swing Plan B into action, but happily, as the drinks reception started the rain eased off and we were able to step outside and take some portraits under the trees. After a rainfall, the ground glistens and leaves glow especially vivid green and there is often this lovely soft light.
