Carberry Towers, near Edinburgh

This historic 16th century castle and hotel is located in a beautiful parkland with the best walks just a couple of minutes away across from the main garden - the rooms on the 1st floor of the house offer some spectacular locations for your portraits, especially during the preparation stage before the ceremony. For larger weddings the venue offers a permanent marquee but it is the parkland that won my heart - perfect for nature lovers but if you are after a more curated experience the main garden works perfectly for your drinks reception and as a backdrop for family photos - I always recommend doing these not far from your drinks reception so this location is perfect for that.
