Linlithgow Palace & Burgh Town Halls

The best for a wedding celebrations mixing historical and modern. The light filled top room of the Burgh Town Halls is a great setting for your ceremony with an access to the bar and balcony on the first floor (there is a lift!). Nearby St Michael church is great for religious ceremonies if you are after that. One thing that in my opinion is worth arranging with Historic Environment Scotland is the access to the ground floor of the Linlithgow Palace, a superb Renaissance residence. They host ceremonies there too. Otherwise the grounds around the palace are perfectly accessible just a short walk from the Burgh Town Halls which themselves have a nice, spacious garden perfect for drinks reception and some family photographs. I would advise on having a change of shoes as the ground can be wet so that we don’t sink in with those high heels - it is worth going off a tarmacked path not the vast grassy landscape with the views over the loch.
