The Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh

One of these locations that lend themselves to some unpretentious and relaxed wedding celebrations. I would highly recommend incorporating some time away from guests to have a wee stroll in the grounds of the Botanics for some great photography options. If you would like that, we can meet at the Botanics pre ceremony for your first look portraits which in my experience and of my couples going for that option makes the day way less stressful and much more enjoyable while leading to some great portraits and more time spent with your guests later on. For the ceremony the Caledonian Redwood trees grove is a firm favourite and if the weather is temperamental there is still the Victorian Caledonian hall. The contemporary building of John Hope Getaway with its peaceful setting is great for reception and dinner party. It is worth remembering though that the glasshouses are not accessible for photos and drones are not permitted. There is however a stunning Edinburgh city skyline viewpoint from the rock garden.
