The Caves, Edinburgh

One of the most atmospheric venues in Edinburgh Old Town ideal for unique and unusual celebrations and for me as photographer, offering an interesting challenge as it is… very dark! Luckily I have enough skills, latest equipment (and a steady hand!) to make it work. In case you’re after some more space for your couple’s portraits on the day I cannot recommend highly enough grabbing a cab to take you to the Arthur’s Seat just a couple of minutes drive away. With that option on a dry day, it is a perfect mix of cosy and ancient, wild and open so that you can come back and party until late in the beautifully restored vaulted rooms of Edinburgh Old Town.
