Wedderburn Barns & Castle

It was a new venue for me this summer but I enjoyed myself so much that I would love to be back there to photograph another Scottish wedding in this rustic location! The middle courtyard is simply perfect for an outdoors ceremony where as a photographer, I can move around discreetly hidden by the walled part to change my angle without distracting anyone - sometimes ceremonies are not just about photos! Nearby grounds offer endless options for photography and it is worth asking if the front of the castle, situated just a short walk away, is available for photographs. In case you don’t want to leave your party for longer than 20-30 minutes I would recommend stepping outside the stone entrance gate, there is a lovely open field nearby that is possible to access without much effort.
